Echosonomovil Education and Urbe University merged to offer advanced learning courses in the United States as a reliable alternative to provide foreign-trained physicians the opportunity to obtain their certification as a diagnostic medical sonographer through APCA (Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement™) and ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography®), with the possibility of working and developing within the country, as long as their immigration status allows it. We use the online platform and technology in your favor to successfully advance in all theoretical and practical content given during each course, designed to provide you with the knowledge and understanding necessary to pass in a first time, the exam of Ultrasound Physics (SPI) and in a second time a specialty, to choose between abdomen, gynecoobstetrics, breast, cardiac, vascular and musculoskeletal.

It should be noted that the process of registration and navigation through the various digital portals of the accrediting agencies, as well as the procedures related to the approval and consignment of documents and requirements requested are quite cumbersome and difficult to understand for most of those interested, many end up not continuing and abandoning the goal at the beginning of the road. We provide support to the applicant throughout the process, from the first day, we take him by the hand in each requirement so that his only occupation and concern is to learn and pass. 

Learn the protocols applied for the different types of ultrasound.

Once you have passed the exams (SPI and a specialty), APCA and ARDMS will grant you the certification as a Sonographer (you will receive an ID Card with your data and certifications). After which, if you wish to enter the labor field within the United States (*) you will be able to opt for a training with us in the different protocols that you must know and handle before employment.

We have a wide range of training courses in protocols by area or specialty, highlighting: Abdomen, Breast, Gynecological, Obstetric, Prostate and Bladder, Peripheral Vascular (lower limbs), Neck Vessels, Thyroid, Musculoskeletal (Shoulder, Elbow, Hand, Knee, Foot and Pediatric Hip), and Cardiac Ultrasound (ECHO). 

Each training course consists of a theoretical module that represents 20% of the course, with online classes for the management of concepts, protocol outlines and case discussions; and a practical module (80%) in our training centers in the city of Miami so that the participant acquires skills and agility in the realization of the different protocols, with the accompaniment and under the supervision of our certified expert teachers. In those cases in which the trainee has vast experience performing ultrasound could opt for the online route, connecting live for demonstrations with patients in real time.

Certifications of our competency courses

Upon completion of each course, having completed more than 80% attendance, evaluation and practical activities, each participant will receive a certificate of completion specifying the program developed and its duration in hours, issued by Urbe University and Echosonomovil Education in the city of Miami, FL. This certificate of competency does not have credits nor does it lead to degrees, it only demonstrates for the preparation courses that the participant received training to pass the Ultrasound Physics exam or any of the ARDMS specialties and for the training courses, it certifies that the participant acquired knowledge and manual skills in one or several ultrasound protocols that would allow him/her to enter the labor field in the United States if his/her immigration status allows it.

Students and graduates of our courses will be able to have a first free legal advice consultation to find out if their case qualifies for the Extraordinary Talent Visa or the National Interest Visa (EB2). Both are an alternative for highly qualified rofessionals who wish to live and work in the United States legally and obtain a permanent residence, without the requirement of a job offer and only based on their experience and professional skills.
